I've been hooked on this book series, so it was great to experience it again through the audiobook and see the character portrayals come to life with the dual pov.
Rhyland's growly broody tone, arrogance and possessiveness is captured perfectly by the narrator! I loved seeing the shift from his doubts about mortals and the prophecy, to his adoration of Dani and the primal need to claim and protect her.
Danica's bravery and sense of adventure shines through, alongside her need to understand and unpick everything that is happening logically, and her disbelief that she's unique and caught in a paranormal web.
Lucian's chaos, flirting and humour is captured brilliantly, with his sassy narration.
The humour and banter comes through so well, and the story is a captivating blend of fantasy and paranormal romance, with powerful mate bonds, chosen one prophecies, dangerous vampires, and intoxicating spice that will keep you blushing.
It's seductive, entertaining, swoony and addictive.
This was my first experience with A.L. Hampton’s work. And it was a 10/10 experience. You get everything you could want with this one.

Andi Eloise as Danica was magical. She delivered the sass perfectly. And she really brought all the emotions to life.
Sebastian York as Rhyland was a perfect match. He captured the broody protective male 💯 percent.
And Devon Ryder did an amazing job with Lucian and was the comedic relief and it had me laughing throughout the story.
The cast also did an amazing job with all the side characters.
I’m not normally a fantasy girl, but I do love some vampires. If you do too, maybe pick this one up. All three narrators are phenomenal. I really enjoyed the banter and how much I swooned for each character.
Andi is a favorite of mine. She is such a strong lead and really keeps her own against the male narrators.
Sebastian York is an all time top tier. He knows what he’s doing in each and every role.
Devon is a bit newer to me, but he’s just as amazing as his costars!
Overall Thoughts: I love when a book surprises me, especially as a mood reader who often has to listen to a book due to a deadline. This book was beautifully written and the narration took it to the next level. Great narration really can make or break a book and this audio did not disappoint. I loved this twist on PNR with the FMC believing she is human only to discover her true heritage, and the mate aspect always makes me happy. Andi did an amazing job as Dani (Danika), and she has become one of my favorite Fem narrators, and it isn’t a wonder why. Sebastion played an amazing dominant vampire named, Rhyland and other male characters, and Devon just makes me happy anytime I get to listen to him and he does such a great job as Lucian and a few other male characters.
